On Tuesday, Corb had his last day of preschool for the year and it was "water day"! So I put sunscreen on his neck, face, arms and ears. I'm a sunscreen fanatic. However, I realized later on that day when Corb came crying to me about a sunburn that he took his shirt off during "water day". :( DUH MOM! I feel so stupid for mot putting his sunscreen all over his torso! So now, he has BLISTERS on his shoulders and hasn't worn a shirt for 3 days now. The only time he can go outside is when the sun goes down.

So as I am trying to take pictures of the calf, I look up and there's a big heffer charging me. Luckily I am on the other side of the fence! Well, she's #108 and an ornery thing! I named her "crabby pattie" (those of you who've watched spongebob 1 million times might laugh). However I don't think she'll stick around our place much longer with her nasty attitude. She's headed up to the auction in Cedar on Thursday! Soyonara, Crabby! Oh, I wanted to get some pics of Dave taunting her, and she was definately annoyed with him!
This is the new calf.

Well, on Friday, Dave had work off so we went shopping and bought Corb a spiderman bike. We should have been more on the ball thinking about his birthday coming up in June, and surprised him with it, but that didn't cross dad's mind until it was too late. Anyway, we put it together last night after trying to see if Corbin would forget about over the weekend in hopes of a birthday present, but to no avail, he cried and cried thinking that we lost his spiderman bike. Dad "found" it in the garage. So at 10:30 last night, COrbin rode it outside up and down the driveway and sidewalk. Yep it was late, but he was so excited to try it out! It is his first bike and the training wheels are great! I walked with him to preschool this morning while he rode his bike and he's crashed a handful of times, but he's a pretty tough cookie! He just gets up and says "I'm alright mom, I'm tough." Afterwards, this afternoon, Dacen came over with his bike and the boys had so much fun outside. We should have bought him a bike 2 years ago, it's so nice to see him go outside and have fun instead of the boring house:)

Isn't she such a doll! I think so! I KNOW SO! I think we made a record today with her keeping her flower headband on! Almost all day, minus nap time! YAY! I never played with barbies but now I am getting the whole "dress-up" bug with my little lovely ShalyceePoo!Tuesday, May 20, 2008
Click on this link and listen to these words of this song. IT"S CLASSIC! I am so glad my man's STILL A GUY! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcXh0Qv_-Zk
This will be your best time online today when you listen to this! :) For instance, I can't stand to watch men tuck their hair behind thier ears, worry about how their hair looks, worry about being "in style", etc. GAG ME NOW! My guy isn't afraid to get his hands dirty or greasy to get down and fix something. I'm glad I am the one dressing him and him not going shopping for himself. To him, a shirt is a shirt, pants are pants, matching is optional, and - quite frankly - I'm happy about that fact! Anyway, this song is hilarious and very truthful and dedicated to Dave!

Well look at this pretty pony! She was such a doll at the show, and it was her first show, too! I entered about 10 classes but only got through 2 with her until my back popped in the middle of a class. :( I'd explain, but it won't make much sense to most of you. She broke from a lope to a nasty rushy trot that popped my lower rib (or what it felt like). I'm feeling better today, but now we're gonna have to work with a crop for any time she breaks to a trot. I'm excited to show her some more after we get that problem taken care of:)! My back's feeling totally better now.

Yep, I'm 28 now, still in my 20's and trying to savor that thought as good as I can, because as soon as you hit 30 you're ancient! (that's for all of my old fogie friends in thier 30's) ha ha! My dad sent me tickets to go see "Wicked" down in Hollywood in June. I'm excited! It's a story about the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz, her story growing up, so I'm told. Tonight the boys are going to Fathers & Sons campout, so the gals are gonna do our own thing tonight! Thanks to y'all for callin on my b-day, and thanks for all past flavors!

Okay, so Dave's not great at keeping secrets and surprises, and he spilled the beans tonight. He's already arranged for 10 tons of dirt to be brought in next week! WOW I love him!

I want more dirt for my arena more than I'd rather have any diamond, (I'd sell a diamond for some dirt and a horse or two). I have 1/4 of my arena filled in with some dirt, (back in December) but the rest of it is just crying out to me! I can't do what I need to do for training the horses with the crappy clay ground that I have. It's already been abusing the horses' legs out here. Kinda like us running on cement all day. I keep bugging Dave about more dirt, and with my birthday coming up, I think it would be awesome if my blog friends could drop a hint to him :). His email address is onelinloyd@hotmail.com by the way. I seriously don't want anything else for my birthday except DIRT! I have so many exercises I want to do with the horses, but since I do care about them not having soundness and lameness issues in the future, I will not do the hard stuff on the HARD GROUND. So yeah, any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated:)
