What is his name? David Loyd J

Who eats more? that would be Davo...

Who said I love you first? Dunno, probably him.?

Who is taller? When he doesn't have his boots on I beat him by 1/2 inch :)

Who is smarter? Smarter at what? He's got the brains for math, fixing anything, people skills, but I must say that I'm smarter about organizing :) That's about all that I'm smarter at. Maybe the horse stuff.....he he.

Who is more sensitive? umm....that would be Dave:) Opposites attract, right?

Who does the laundry? Me, it's actually one of my favorite things to do. I hate doing dishes and
getting my hands in the gooey food.

Who sleeps on the right side of the be? I do. It's further away from the door so he can get up with the kids easier, or maybe smack an intruder....ha ha!

Who pays the bills? He does. I used to, but he was told that men should do it, and wow, it's been NICE!

Who cooks more? I get in the "cooking" mood every once in a while, but Dave is good at whipping up a meal out of nothing. Thanks honey!

What meals do you cook together? none....one of us cooks, one of us plays with the kids, or doing something else productive. (I usually have him working outside on the tractor. ha ha)

Who is more stubborn? YIKES! Me for sure. I think his stubborn side comes out as often as a blue moon shines.

Who is the first to admit they're wrong? Him for sure. The other day I admitted I was wrong, and it was over something stupid I'm sure, but it WRENCHED MY HEART (pride) to admit it!

Who has more siblings? He does. 9 kids in his family. 4 in mine.

Who wears the pants in the relationship? He does, until I walk into the room. ;) Just kidding! These past 10 years he's slowly been STRIPPING the title from me.

What do you like to do together? anything outside.

Who eats more sweets? Me. He is a SALT man, I'm the SWEET tooth.

Guilty pleasures? His- sleep? I don't know, what's the answer, babe? ME- too many to write...

How did you meet? parents lined us up for him to build a fence around my haystack, then we went on a horse ride immediately after. It was great!

Who asked who out first? Him.

Who kissed who first? Hmm.... isn't that a "Joint" effort?!

Who proposed? He did, at my horse show after I won consecutive 1st places the WHOLE DAY! In front of everyone! YAY! What a man! That was so hard for him to do!

His best features? His smile, derriere, calf muscles (rock hard), big strong shoulders. I always liked guys with wider shoulders than mine...otherwise they were too feminine in my book. :) He is such a STUD!

What is his greatest quality? He is very calm. Doesn't get stressed very easily. Great DADDY. He has more energy to play with the kids than I do, for sure. He's good about getting down on their level.

Shalyce is always entertained by doing exactly what Corbin is doing.....

Happy Birthday to our 2 year old Princess! We had my friend's kids over for the weekend, so they were able to eat some cake and watch Shalyce smash chocolate icing all over her face, too.

Grandma Jessop's dress she gave to Shalyceepoo. So cute!

Yesterday, Dave & Corb got a little creative with the jump house in the backyard. GO SUPERMAN! Shaylee wanted a turn, too:)

I've had a request for my Top 10 Reasons Why I Don't Have My Food Storage.
10. My neighbors have a TWO year supply! No, they don't. They don't have any food. Did you know that 85% of the members of the church don't have any food storage at all? If your idea of food storage is to eat someone else’s food………..this is a really bad plan.

9. I've paid tithing for 20 years...the church can give me a little food. Many members believe that when the times get hard, the church is going to come through like Joseph in Egypt. Absolutely not true. All the church storehouses and welfare farms across the country would only feed 4% of the members of the church. The church has been asking YOU to store food for 75 years. They're NOT storing food for you. Thus, another bad plan.

8. I'm moving in with my children / parents! Really....that’s just a bad plan all by itself. But it points out that most members don't have a year's supply because they're PLANNING on eating someone else's food! Of course, since no one HAS any food, we have yet another bad plan.

7. I have a year's supply...and the bullets to go with it! I've heard time and again, "How dumb is that to go to all the time and expense of getting food...just to have some guy with a gun come and shoot my family to take it away?" Here's a better question. Are you afraid of the guy with the gun? Or are you more afraid of BECOMING the guy with the gun? What would you do if your children were starving to death? Would you lie? Cheat? Steal? Would you shoot your neighbor for his food? I guarantee....if you were watching your child starving to death, you would do anything you had to to keep them alive. If you don't have your year's supply, you are putting yourself in danger of losing not only your temporal salvation, but your spiritual salvation as well.So far, all the reasons we don't have our food storage involve eating someone else's food. Please, don't put your family's temporal salvation in other people's hands. No one is storing food for you. Not your neighbors, not the government...not even the church.

#6. The boat and the 4 wheelers are taking up all my storage space! (priorities!)

#5. 3 letters....Y2K. Ok, that's 2 letters and a number....but they're always making way too much out of everything! This is never going to happen!” (Every prophecy that has ever been given WILL happen.)

#4. If anything DOES happen, the government will be here within hours! (insert laughter) Did you know the government has been telling us that we need to have food storage? They're actually CALLING it food storage! We now have the government telling us to store food, water, medicines...whatever we will need to be able to stay in our homes for several months.

#3. I can't afford scrap booking AND food storage. The average food storage can cost as little as a dollar a day. We live in the richest society in the history of the world, and while there are cases where money may be a problem, most of the time it is a matter of priorities. We have chosen bigger homes, nicer cars, more tv's, computers, vacations ...everything is more important than our food storage. If I asked, "Who has a cell phone?" most of you would say yes. You pay at least $30 a month to have a cell phone....that's about a dollar a day...the cost of one year's supply of food for your child. Is your cell phone really more important than your child's temporal salvation? You have to make food storage a priority.

2. I'm waiting for the cannery to sell Papa John's dehydrated pizza! Food storage has always had a stigma attached to it. If it's not wheat, beans and powdered milk, it's not food storage. With the system I use, food storage can be sweet and sour chicken, tamale pie, chile and cornbread, beef stew, shepherd's pie, minestrone...even chocolate chip cookies! Your imagination (and your pocketbook) are the only limitations you have.

And the #1 reason why I don't have my year's supply of food? A year?? I thought it was 72 hours!! You KNOW you should have your food storage. You WANT to have it, but it can be so overwhelming! How much do I buy? Where do I store it? How do I cook it? It seems like an impossible task.... but it's not. It doesn't matter if you use my system or just start buying extra food, the important thing is to do something. Good luck in your efforts! Wendy DeWitt

Over the weekend we went to Kanab to take pics of Wenda's & Tyson's baby girl, Tayla. I made up her birth announcements on my memory mixer program today. Cute, huH!

8 Things I did today
1. woke up WAY too early
2. Cleaned the kitchen, watched the Roomba vaccuum.
3. Loved watching Corbin clean house and make his bed and watch him smile
4. Took Corbin halfway to Kanab and met my mom to take him the rest of the way. He showed me dinosaurs in the clouds, oh and also many spongebob characters!
5. Went to WalMart and bought 12 cases of pint jars so I can bottle chicken tomorrow and the next few days afterwards!
6. Ate too many greasy things from Sonic. However the cranberry limeade is REALLY good!
7. Enjoyed that Dave got to retreive SHalyce from the toilet, and it wasn't me having to deal with it all! :)
8. Sitting in the lazy boy while we're watching a lame movie.

8 Things I'm looking forward to:
1. wake up early and buy 100 pounds of chicken
2. getting rid of this stinkin psyatic (sp?) nerve problem
3. Maybe getting some good sleep
4. preparing my young women's lesson
5. This lame movie ending
6. Daylight savings time change!
7. Getting my food storage in better order
8. some more Clinton Anderson DVD's

Happy Birthday Today Grandma Marvalee! Corbin helped me with the cake! We went to town with the decorating!

A lot has happened since I posted last....

Corbin & Daddy-O spent a Saturday afternoon at the Dinosaur museum. Corb loved it. He drew a picture of a dinosaur and also got a new dino toy.

Corb has been "practicing" for the horse shows because he wants to WIN a cool little trophy. He saw some a couple months ago and wanted to win one too. So I told him he needed to practice. He begged me to get his horse out. (a little reverse psychology was used:)...

After an exhausting practice session.....When he was done he "kicked" back to relax....I HAD to snap a picture of this creative lil' cowboy in those size 6 jeans. :) He cracks us up every day.

Shalyce wanted a turn the whole time. She would just SQUEAL and run up to the horse. FINALLY she had her moment in the saddle. YAY!Corbin was curious if his hat would fit on Licorice...

Grandpa bought 2 new bulls this year and they are pretty gentle. One of them loves a good head scratch. Corbin has named him T.B.. He likes to go out to scratch T.B. everytime we go out to the flat.

Shalyce doesn't act like the cows are even there...SHe is only interested in the hay and the dirt! If there is even a small scoop of dirt on the driveway, she is going straight to it, most likely to dump it on her head, then it ends up in the diaper. Seriously, the bathtub has to be rinsed out after each time she leaves the water. There are always a few pebbles left over. :)

Over the weekend, Dave went and got 4 more loads of dirt for the arena. Well, let me specify. 3 more loads for the arena and 1 load for Corbin & Shalyce's dirt fulfilling dreams! Dave dug a hole in the middle of the pile. Corbin loved to POP UP like a prarie dog! Shalyce, however, wasn't a fan of it at the time. :) She just woke up early from a nap and was a bit moody. However, since then she has been LOVING the pile. Who needs toys when you have dirt?! Love it!
