When is the cut-off age for babes peeing on you when you change their diaper? I thought Shalyce had passed that mark a long time ago, but she proved me wrong this morning. Right after I cleaned the sheets, got dressed for the day, I go to change her diaper, she does this funny grin at me, then stares at me, then I look down and it's shooting out full blast onto my jeans and the bed sheets! After I squealed and shoved a new diaper onto her bumb, she giggled and gave me a HUGE CHEESY GRIN! So I take off the rescue diaper and then she starts to belly laugh, and while she does the giggles, what happens again..you know it! little squirts every time she belts out a chuckle! There's nothing like baby pee. Now if corbin peed on me, being age 4, I think this would not be written, for it would not be for anyone's eyes or ears to hear how I would react. However, since we're speaking of pee and such, I don't think I have recorded Corbin's dukes in the great outdoors! Here we go...
About a month ago we were doing FHE with a family in our ward, helping them hook up their pony to the pony cart, learning how to harness their pony. So we're out in the fields with the horses, COrbin's playing with a ton of neighborhood kids out in the sticks, too. Then we went back to their house and had ice cream, came home at 9:00. Then corb told me when we were changing into PJ's that he "pooped in the dirt".
ME: "what?! where?"
CORB: thinking..."by the kids" (meaning where he and the kids were playing)
ME: "well, what did you wipe your bumb with?"
CORB: thinking for about 10 seconds, trying to recollect what he did...then watching his face light up when his memory kicked in.."with my hand!"
ME: trying not to show him my smile, and wanting him to have the fear of GOD in him if he crapped in front of his peers again said,"Corb that's yucky, if you need to poop you tell mom or dad-OK?!"
So I continued taking off his clothes, told dave to throw away the box of Cheez-Nips that he was digging his hand into and sharing with all of us, and then I noticed his pants had that fresh outdoor poop scent, from, of course, a little boy wiping his bumb with his hand, then cleaning his hand with his pants! ALL BOY!
So, about 2 weeks ago, I was outside working with a horse, and Corb was playing with his cousin Dacen. I noticed Corb peed in the dog's pen, which isn't unusual, and I don't mind him peeing outside where there are no girls peeking. So no biggie. However about 10 minutes later, as I'm trotting past on a horse, I look over and see a FULL MOON from my 4 year old. That's odd, he just went pee.. or WAIT! CORBIN!!!!!!!!!! I hopped off that horse, realizing that I didn't put that fear of GOD into him like I wanted to 2 weeks previously. As I'm running up, his cousin, Dacen is wiping off Corbin's bumb with toilet paper that he had so nicely retreived for Corb. What a good helper!:) (SORRY JEN) I run up and there's a fresh log on the ground by the saddle shed, very healthy by the way.:) HA HA! That's when I told him NO MORE FRIENDS today, since you pooped outside! I called Jen and she immediately came and retrieved Dacen. I made him clean up the used toilet paper that he just left on the ground outside, and I shoveled his duke and threw it out in the fields. He immediately took a shower and had to stay in the rest of the day. As I was returning to work with that horse, I noticed that the gait which he deposited his stuff by, had some streaks and chunks of poop on it. Guess Dacen wasn't quick enough with the TP. He wiped his poopy fingers on the gate! So after we cloroxed the gait, all is well, and there hasn't been any episodes of the PHANTOM POOP so far!

Well, this morning we went out and processed the calvy walvies! Castrating and taggin, vaccinations and such. I hopped on Sally (Dave's horse that just got back from training) and she was a doll! 17 years young and just barely broke to ride! HE HE! When I get some pics I"ll post them! I rode her out while we took the cows back when we were done with them for about 2 miles, then I swapped Dave for the 4-wheeler and him and Corb rode Sally back to the corrals where we had lunch that Linda had all prepared. It's a fun family tradition. It's more of a tradition nowadays than before, since there are not so many as before. Maybe it's cuz we had a lot of help. It just didn't seem like a long drawn out day like they have been before. Shalyce went next door in the morning to be watched while Corb & us had some fun with the cows and dirt! It was about 80 degrees today, just beautiful! Shaylee, my neice, fell off her horse and hit her head pretty hard. She's one tough cookie! I made a mental note to bring a helmet for her, but my mental notes don't last very long! Well, we'll see how she feels this week, cuz she's signed up to ride in her first horse show on Saturday! She is officially in the "Cowgirl club" now that she's fallen off of a horse! GO GIRL!

I haven't posted for quite some time now because our modem took a ROYAL dump! So we went to Best Buy last night in search for a modem and realized that with all our programs that we couldn't run, well, because we had an ANCIENT WINDOWS 2000! So, long story short, we also bought a new laptop to run the other programs with, and a new modem, and much more stuff. Anyway, I have many pictures and events to post tomorrow when I have more time and energy. Shalyce had her 1st birthday on March 20th and Corbin is cute as ever. To be continued...
